    My wife is studying for Nursing and hence I know the anser. Either General Nursing or BSN will allow you to give the RN exam. However, before that have your crendtials evaluated by www.wes.org, so that an US equivalency is established. Based on that you can apply for the RN exam.

    General Nursing is equivalent to an Associate in Nursing. For future promitions, BSN is better.

    what amount lawyer is asking?

    Hi,
    I am trying to renew my EAD/AP myself and wanted to check if I will be getting the EAD card and AP documents by mail to my address.

    I am avoiding the lawyer, as he's charging unreasonable amount.

    Question:
    When self-filing, would I be getting the EAD/AP documents at my home address???

    We have seen many recent cases where the employer revokes I-140 and that causes inadvertent issues with a pending AOS application.

    With the economy worsening, several companies are going to be forced to lay off employees, many in an amicable way. Also many small companies do not know the legalities and just revoke I-140 to be on the safe side.

    I have heard over an over again that companies are not required to revoke I-140, but is there some official documentation that says so? If we have that handy, then in case of a layoff we could point them to the documentation and request them to NOT revoke the I-140 petition.

    I tried to look around, but couldn't find any. Does anyone else know?

    140 - Approved - Mar 2008

    Now I'm planning to move to another company("B").

    What are the chances to keep my PD, even though my company "A" revokes my 140?

    what are the chances/risks for Company"A" to revoke my 140??

    My H1 is due for extension this year end.
    Valid period of H1 remaining is 1 1/2 year since extension

    I understand that H1 extension has to go through the rigorous procedure nowadays.
    It needs client letter stating that project will last for 1 year.
    Getting such letter is not possible.

    So having I140 approved makes thing easy for H1 extension? Or same process for h1 extension is followed

    Having I-140 approved only makes you eligible for a 3 yr extension, provided you submit all the documents required in normal H1 process. So, you still have to go through the same process.

    If yes then you should be fine but with or without original 797 and no stamping in passport it will be difficult to get into USA. Unless you have AP to get back into USA. Hope this help. Good luck for your travel tomorrow.

    I just checked all immigration documents and found that original I797 (H1b approval) is missing. I have a copy but not original. We are travelling to India tomorrow. Is it must that we need to have original I797 at POE or is a copy ok. Appreciate if you could please let us know about this as soon as possible.

    Big cos generally file a new Labor and are hesitant to hire if someone is beyonnd 6 yrs period. Even if you convince them that your old PD can be transferred, they are not convinced....(or do not know much about the process).

    Friends;
    My EB3 AOS was filed in July, 2007.
    I have a valid H1 upto July, 2010 and my EAD expires September, 2010.
    My wife and daughter have valid H4 upto July, 2010 and their EAD expires September, 2010. Both have used EAD.
    APs are expiring in July 2010 for all of us.
    My employer has filed for H1 extension.
    I have couple of questions regarding my family�s statuses;
    1. If my wife and daughter do not want to renew their EADs/APs (or renewal gets delayed beyond September, 2010), what is their legal status in US as they don�t have a valid I-94?
    2. As they already used EADs, I think they are not eligible for H4 filing. Can someone confirm?
    3. Does anyone have experience of renewing Driving license without EAD or H4 during AOS?

    Hello All,
    I have couple of questions regarding Travel Document or Advance Parole.

    My EAD has already been filed by my Lawyer but she is charging too much for filing Advance Parole or Travel Document,so here goes my questions.

    - Is there a way to file for Travel Document myself, without involving the lawyer and if yes how can i do that

    - Do I need to wait for my EAD Receipt being sent to me before filing for Travel Document.


    i did this exactly, where my lawyer filed my ead, but i filed my ap myself. all u need is i-485 receipt copy.
