As long as the water is all of the same temp and salinity there isn't any distortion because of water movement. Distortion does occur when you get mixing of water that has different density. Scuba diving you see that where you pass through layers of water on the way down. The layers can be either different temerature or different salinity. When you get that it looks like heat waves on a hot highway in the distance.
I have used the pentax optio under water a bit. It works well as a point and shoot but not much more than that. I wouldn't take it more than a few feet down. I don't think it is rated for very deep.

I just received an email from USCIS saying that my I-140 has been denied. I touched base with the attorney & she has not yet received any documentation from USCIS. This has been the 1st change in my status since Aug 07. My case is pending at TSC.
Does anyone know if this is a fairly common occurance for USCIS to deny I-140 without an RFE? Any advise on what to do next?

With the situation currently we are facing on H-1B, in my opinion congress may do some quick fix before the CIR implementation. Reforming the H-1B visa, I do not think any thing is wrong in that. In this process of reforming H-1B visa, can we incorporate our mission of at least filing I-485 without visa availability?
Is this too much to ask?

yep EAD is linked to your 485 application and not your employer. especially after 180 days of 485 filing a lot people consider themselves free to jump the boat with very little to no issues.

Can anyone tell me what is ADIT processing?
I am assuming that you got 485 approval letter and it talks about ADIT.

In my knowledge to get new H1 as I am 8th year extension from my new employer, I need to have copy of LC filing. I am in dilemma; please guide me if you can. I am in the same situation as thesaintmav. My priority date is Mar 03.
I am really curious to find out more about the conversion process from EB3 to EB2, especially, whether it can be done staying in the same company.
Waiting for the EB3 pointer to move from Apr 01 to Mar 03 might take ages, I would guess at least 1 to 1.5 years - given that the EB3 visas are retrogressed in "all categories" - not just India or China.

You can change from L-1 to H-1 as long as your H-1 is approved and valid.
No you do not need to get it stamped while in US. Only if you go out of US and come back, you will need stamped H-1.

If the H1-B holder's labor is pending for at least a year then an 1 year extentions are granted. If the H1-B holder has an approved I-140 petition, the extention is granted for 3 years. I'm on my 9th year of H1B.

The question is when.
Before or after the fall elections.
The current thinking is somehting will pass in the senate. Most likely with some sort of temporary worker status for the illegals.
If it offers a path to citizenship for the illegals then it will die in congress, if not then it stands a chance in conference.
If there is deadlock then this issue will be pushed to until after the elections.
That's my take on things.
Did you guys see Sen Frist on CNN wolf Blitzer show? Likewise that was the view of Sen Grassley.
Sad for us we are stuck in this politics.

You ve 2 options:

While the issues being highlighted may lean towards those being termed as illegal aliens, I wouldn't be so quick to call these organizations as exclusively illegal immigrant interest groups. The last time i spoke with my lawyer he said. we dont the stautus of my brothers h1 yet as even thought they closed the dates in May they are holding some cases in case the existing cases which got receipt are denied then they will consider new cases from the lot.
I dont know what this means????

Her petetion is filed in May. And she travelled out of USA last month. So you need to do is to start working and get a visa stamp of H1 when you go out of the country.
