How come you guys do not want to go back there?
Taken from the ad.
"The world has long been fascinated by India's culture, history, and recently, the country's spectacular economic growth. With a per annum growth exceeding 8%, India presents an exciting opportunity for domestic and multinational companies alike. Throughout this conference we will explore the various sectors driving this economic expansion."
Thats a very good question.Off late I am seeing lot of people moving back.I can quote my friend's brother. He lived in this country for the last nearly 18 years. He has 37 patents to his credit. He started his company in 2000 and sold that company to Motorola and currently he is a venture capitalist to Bio-tech start up.I was talking to him other day and hes going back for Good in July.
He was of the opinion that you have to always ride the wave. The gold rush of 2000 and before is gone here.It was his opinion.
I think the main reason is people have slogged here and they want to take atleast some benefit of GC.We are contributing Social Security and you will not see a single penny what you paid to Uncle Sam unless you have a GC.

what to do after attending the rally?:D
Along with all the others who couldn't be bothered to come to the rally, you will shower those that made the effort with extraordinary amounts of praise and adoration for making a personal sacrifice to change other people's lives :D
...and then wait...

clif, I wouldn't worry too much regarding the interview. Just take the latest paystubs, Employment letter from your new employer and all the evidence that you have to prove that you have been legally maintaining status in the country. Since you have already submitted medical exam results you don't need to take them with you.
They usually just send a standard letter without checking any items in the list.

Sure can! See the tracker. There is at least one person who filed in Texas and has his/her EAD approval date before the Finger Printing date
I also had got my EAD way before my 1st FP - but that was in 2005
Referring to your signature, did you file your spouse 485 after you got green card?

Hi,
I-485 filed in july 2007. I-140 cleared in 2005.
We filed for GC in 2003 (eb3) in spite of my husband having two advanced degrees (M.Tech and Ph.d) but he is not working in the same field of ph.d. His company randomly filed in eb3 for all the employees.
But now my husband is diagnosed with chronic disease. We are thinking if we switch to eb2 since he is eligible to do that, atleast he would get some medical benefits for the treatment.
How do we proceed with this? Do we have to file labor again?
Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
how medical treatment is related to EB2? All you need is a good insurance.

Folks, I have received a notice from USCIS stating the following:
The above application or petition has been received.
Your application was received without the necessary fingerprint fee.
Under 8CFR 103.2(e), this fee of $70.00 must be submited along with the filing fee fot the application/petition. If this office has not recieced the fee within 87 days, your application will be considered to be abandoned under ...
Is there any one else in the same boat? What are my options here?
I too received a similar notice. My employer replied by submitting proof of the paid checks. Meanwhile, I received my receipt notice that shows $395 received. I have also received the FP notice and the same was completed yesterday. Customer service was not of much help.

Can anyone tell me how serious this is?
We filled out all paperwork and forwarded to the lawyers 3 weeks ago, who filed it for us.
As I'm writing out a proxy for my dad to vote in my homecountry in upcoming elections, I somehow realize I wrongly entered his birthday on the G-325A, I put down June 6th, rather then June 8th. (got confused mixing it up with my husband's birthday)
Totally stupid :o, I know, I know. I'm so worried over this now, I can't sleep anymore, I can't eat anymore :(.
Of course I have already filled out a corrected G-325A & forwarded it to the lawyers handling our applications, but what could the consequences be? I'm so worried!
This was just a mistake made in a moment of not paying attention. :( :(

Those of you planning to reach the 485/EAD "heaven". Please have a look at this
link suggesting you apply for EAD 6 months in advance.
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=1847c9ee2f82b010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCR D&vgnextchannel=1847c9ee2f82b010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1 RCRD
Apply too early and you are screwed by an early approval that will render your EAD valid for just 6 months(my last 2 were approved within 2 weeks). Apply too late and risk unauthorised work and or having to get fired/stay off the job.
All this just weeks after they removed the ability to get an emergency 90 day EAD at the local field offices if they delayed more than 90 days.
The USCIS is getting very mean with those of us waiting in the legal queue in my view. A lot is going on behind the scenes, I hope we are not all made scapegoats of dumb policy in the end.
