I had to go through secondary inspection which took about 20 minutes at JFK.IO only verified and stamped AP. No other documents were requested. To be on safe side, I carried Pay Stubs, Education Documents and Office Identification card.

Excellent. I am new in this cage..but I am proud to be here. I will definetly donate generously for 4 core for future lobbying. Also I would think..we need 2 avoid anti-immigration media such as CNN etc. I saw WSJ, Business Week, CNBC(Brian William news at 6.30), CNBC Maria, Washington post, New york time and some other local news paper helping us with covergae on this issue. We shouldn't be helping Lou dobb's kind of guys to boost his ratings. I decided to stay away from that chap!! and CNN. I know many of my friends regulary watch CNN and I advised everyone to switch to other channel..what u guys think. Once again congts all.. sleep well and enjoy..

The reason why they are not talking about EB is there is nothing to talk.
The solution is straight and simple. to recapture and has been discussed enough. I am positive that should CIR happen EB reform will happen too.

I personally think it�s true specially for FB AOS applicants where no intermediate step like EAD and AP between visitor�s visa and final approval. It may also be true for EB AOS applicants where EAD hasn�t been issued and H1 extension hasn�t filled.

Its mystery. My friend visited one Canadian consulate for VISA interview. He sent his I-171 and DS160 to them in email to get PIMS done before his interview date and they said that they received the documents and noted info & can come for interview. He though PIMS check is done and he can go peacefully for interview.
But today they gave some document saying they need to verify PIMS, so the conclusion is always better to go home country sothat we can have nice time with relatives atleast.

IMO, you should spend the money yourself instead of depending on the company for GC expenses...
Why are you worried about the money? Go hire a lawyer and get your GC process started, asking your manager/HR just for the paperwork support. That way it is easier for you and easier for them too...IMO, Asking the company to bear the expenses for GC is too much, especially in this economy.
As far as H1 is concerned, I guess you need to be in constant touch with your manager and press the issue till she talks to the immigration people and move from there. Talk to your supervisor and ask his help to move the paperwork faster. May be he/she can in turn talk to the HR person to speed things up, without the baloney you are hearing from HR. Also, talk to the lawyer and offer your HR manager that the lawyer can speak to her directly about the issue to speed up things...
In the meantime, keep your options open and look for another job so that you can transfer your H1 and start fresh...Hopefully if this option works, don't make the mistake of waiting for HR to start your GC process...Just be proactive and do it on your own...

Right after I received my labor certificate from Company A, my lawyer suggested my transfer my H1b from Company C to company A. it dont just sound like you have dust on your sensor. you do have dust on your sensor. at this point you have 3 options. you can do what nikon and canon recomend and blow the dust out with a blower bulb at wich point your head may explode from the frustration of NOT getting the dust of since it clings to it through static charge. the next and most stress free way to do it is to find a local camera shop that will clean it for you (not all will do this for you however). the service is available here in okc for 85 smakaronies. The should use a stero scope to get down there and get every piece of dust off so that your sensor will be back to the original shape absolutely no dust. or you can be brave and make a small investment on ecipse cleaning solution and cleaning swabbs. the solution is streakless after it dries. also get a special set of cleaning brushes that you can swipe across the sensor without scratching the sensor. as i said the method i recomend is paying the mola to have someone else do it as when i tried to clean my sensor i was so nervouse i just did not trust myself to do a good job.

Adding to the scenario above, what if the old company (which got I-140 approval) agress to continue the GC process? In that case, can't we apply for H1 extension with Company B using approved I-140 with Company A? After all, GC is a future employment application

Yes they need to give you lay off notice officially in paper and give you plane ticket to India.
You can file the complaint and once they give you ticket to India , you can available that to go to India.
In fact H1Bs shouldn't have been approved for your employer in first place. Obviously in your case the client is delaying payment but you employers need to have the
working capital to pay you even if the client is not/delaying payment.
This was a problem/abuse with the small consulting companies aka body shoppers for over a decade now. It seems that USCIS is eventually cracking down on this.
